Rockett’s 2 key drivers – founder and CEO Mark Rockett, with President and COO Mike Iannelli – came together from broadly diverse backgrounds at the pinnacle of their disciplines.

Mark spent years in traditional advertising, leading client and media engagements at The Martin Agency, before helping start and run their interactive media group. It was during his years on the mean streets of Richmond when he realized there was a greater need for digital thinking in a traditional world. Inevitably it only made sense he would bring this passion and experience to bear by hanging his own shingle in 2003, Rockett Interactive.

Mike spent 12 years evolving with the digital marketing industry. Five of those years spent with GSI Commerce leading their digital division, with time off for good behavior to school another traditional agency in integrated marketing. This path introduced him to the understanding that it takes a certain ilk to truly grasp the digital realm – something traditional agency experience alone cannot provide. This path also led him to Mark Rockett.

When you meet them you’ll notice more than the fact they are both bald (really bald … by choice). You’ll see they approach digital marketing differently but with the same end result in mind. It’s that unique elixir of traditional and digital, creative and analytic, strategic and fluid that sets them apart. They’re champions of the discipline.
